Presenting Haiku Deck
It was awful presenting in front of people I was unfamiliar with. I am usually fine talking in front of people but it depends who is in the class. And i could feel the people judging me and I chocked.

Failure
Failure
- Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective
- we really fear is failing to do something right the first time. This bears repeating: What we really fear is failing to do something right the first time.
- Alot of people are fixated on being perfect
- “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” thomas edison
- Failure is good. It shows you what not to do and you can't always do something right the first time.
Michael Jordan- He was cut from his high school basketball team and was said to be too short to play with the competition. Through proving his worth and showing his talent in the game he was then taken for the Mcdonalds all american game and later in his career arguably one of the best basketball players of all time.
Shannon Sharpe- Was so poor and had no education. He says in his hall of fame speech to the NFL “I remember eating squirrel and turtle.” This just shows you that even a man brought from nothing can accomplish anything with a drive and with motivation.
Albert Einstein- Some say he had autism

Everybody feels like they aren't as good or not up to level with other people. The worry a lot of us have is about our image to other people. If we fail, what others think of us. Some people want to succeed in peoples eyes not just to succeed. My question is why? Why do the opinions of others matter when it comes to your own personal success?
FACTS
- You have a increase risk to be emitted into a prison if missing a father in your life. (Limiting your success.)
- If you have a father missing from your life you are less likely to get good grades.
- 4 times more likely to be poor if you are absent of a father figure.
- Failure teaches important life lessons on how not to repeat those mistakes.
- failure is a motivator.
- failure helps personal growth.
- failing is a part of growing up
- allows you to make positive changes
- failure is a way to learn and is temporary. quitting is forever.
“My advice is find fuel in failure. Sometimes failure gets you to where you wanna be.”- Michael Jordan
“I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”- Michael Jordan
“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.”- Michael Jordan
“I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have fear of failure. I have nights when I show up at the arena and I'm like, 'My back hurts, my feet hurt, my knees hurt. I don't have it. I just want to chill.' We all have self-doubt. You don't deny it, but you also don't capitulate to it. You embrace it.”- Kobe Bryant
“Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.”- Donald Trump
“Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.”- Benjamin Franklin
“Success represents the 1% of your work which results from the 99% that is called failure.”- Soichiro Honda
“A man can fail millions of times, but he isnt a failure until he begins to blame someone else.”- John Burroughs
“All men are created equal, some work harder in pre season.”- Emmit Smith
“Its not about where you come from. Its about heart.”- Eric Thomas
“But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward”- Rocky Balboa
In life we have this little thing everyone is afraid of. It called failure. Im here to figure out why? If you can learn and grow as a person from failure why are we afraid?

Eric Thomas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XIGu3Kxg2I
Eric Thomas is a great public speaker. He uses great body language. He uses his hands and acts out some of his words. He raises his voice when he gets passionate, he knows how to control his tone and get progressively louder when the time calls for it. He has been through the struggle and he gets really passionate when talking about success, motivation and other things like that. You can see it in his face that he means business, and that draws you in. He makes you look at your own life and want to never give up etc.
